Two appellations

In the heart of the department of the Var, the Domaine Saint Andrieu can benefit from the two appellations of Provence: Côtes de Provence and Coteaux Varois en Provence.

More than 30 hectares are devoted to the vine. The plots are scattered on plateaus forming terraces selected for the quality of their terroir, composed mainly of clay and limestone soils.

Côtes de Provence

To the south, a 16 ha block of vines produces the wines of Domaine Saint Andrieu, Côtes de Provence, on more superficial clay-limestone hillsides.

Coteaux Varois en Provence

To the north, is located L’Oratoire Saint Andrieu, Coteaux Varois en Provence, on 15 ha of vines with a cooler and windier terroir on deep clay-limestone slopes.

Traditional Provençal grape varieties

The wines from each of the appellations come in three colors, white, rosé and red.

Made from the traditional Provencal grape varieties (Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle), the rosés and whites (100% Rolle) are marked by a very pure fruit, a roundness without heaviness and a liveliness that gives them a beautiful freshness. The reds, a majority blend of Syrah, have a lot of breed. They express in a very elegant style notes of spices, violets and very complex blackberries.
